Day Three "Jazz Brunch"
The 2019 #AlphaDerbyWeekend is over!
Since 2014, Alphas of Atlanta Foundation Inc. has raised over $750k with proceeds donated towards college scholarships, ACT & SAT prep classes, and high school college tours.
The proceeds from the #AlphaDerby/ #AlphaDerbyWeekend helped increase reclamation and retention efforts among Metropolitan Atlanta Alpha Chapters resulting in Alpha Phi Alpha chapters having one of the highest reclamation and retention rates in the fraternity!
Twenty brothers serve the Alphas of Atlanta Foundation Inc.’s organization year-round to bring excellence to our communities and city at-large, and to our fraternity. Without the "A" team, this would not be possible!
We take this opportunity to thank our General President Everett Ward, Southern Regional Vice President Kelsey Rushing, Georgia District Director Sherman Lofton, Past Acting General President and West Regional Vice President Aaron Cruitson, Past Eastern Regional Vice President Sean McCaskill, All Southern Regional District Directors, and all of those great Alpha Brothers who helped make #AlphaDerbyWeekend a great success.
We would especially like to extend our deepest gratitude to our 2019 Alpha Derby Weekend awesome sponsors, media partners, and the more than 3000 patrons that joined with us in supporting the mission of Alpha Phi Alpha to “develop leaders, promote brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities.”
